World Cleanup Day- September 17, 2022.

We had a fantastic beach cleanup day at Tamarack Beach in Carlsbad, California in honor of #worldcleanupday on September 17, 2022.

In an effort to make our local beaches cleaner, Solatube International rallied employees, family members, and friends to clean up Tamarack Beach which is located close to Solatube Headquarters. Our group collected a variety of trash – old boogie boards, sandals, a rusty lobster trap, and a bunch of miscellaneous plastic items. The event not only promoted environmentalism but also helped develop a real sense of community and comradery among employees and their friends and families.

Being a part of the Kingspan Light + Air family, Solatube is proud to join Kingspan’s global Planet Passionate initiative – a sustainability program to help reduce the world’s carbon emissions by 45% by 2030. Kingspan is very “passionate” about the recycling of plastic and the conservation of our oceans. By 2025, Kingspan is planning to upcycle 1 billion PET bottles into its insulation products. By supporting Seabin, a non-profit organization that filters plastic and trash particles out of the ocean, Kingspan is on a mission to clean up the world’s waterways. Its goal is to collect 1.3 tons of debris at each sponsored Seabin location worldwide per year.
