Architect Magazine: Spring-Summer Product Call 2023
The Spring/Summer 2023 Product Call highlights new products representing lighting, textiles, smart appliances and more innovations. Architect Magazine honored our new SolaMaster Round Ceiling Fixture as a notable product for the roundup.
FacilitiesNet’s Facility Maintenance Decisions and Facility Cleaning Decisions: 2023 Readers’ Choice Award
The Readers’ Choice Awards honor innovation and excellence in products that contribute to the efficient and profitable operations, maintenance and cleaning of institutional and commercial buildings in the United States. This year, their readers voted for the SolaMaster Series as the winner for its exterior maintenance products category.
Architectural Record: 2023 Products of the Year
The Products of the Year competition engages a panel of six professionals who meticulously evaluate new products based on innovation, utility and aesthetic appeal. Architectural Record selected our SolaMaster Round Ceiling Fixture as a winner of its lighting category.
Spaces4Learning: 2023 New Product Award
The New Product Awards honor the outstanding product development achievements of manufacturers and suppliers whose products or services are particularly noteworthy in their ability to enhance the learning environment. Our Solatube 750 DS-C Tubular Daylighting Device (TDD) for Closed Ceiling ICC 500 and FEMA P-361 Compliant Storm Shelters won platinum in the building envelope – toplighting category.
Design Journal: ADEX 2024
The ADEX Awards recognizes the absolute best in quality, innovation, form, function and creativity that impact the design community each year. A panel of professionals representing a cross-section of the design industry selected our SolaMaster 750 DS-O ICC 500 Storm Shelter-compliant daylighting system as the winner of its skylights/floorlights category.
Design Journal: Best of 2023
The Best of 2023 Awards celebrate the best products in architecture and interior design of the year. A panel of judges, who are among the architecture and design industry’s most respected professionals in their respective fields, select the winners for each category. Design Journal selected the SolaMaster 750 DS-O ICC 500 Storm Shelter-compliant daylighting system as a skylight category winner.
Building Design + Construction: 75 Top Building Products Awards
The 75 Top Products Report showcases the “best-of-the-best” in new and updated products, materials and systems for the U.S. building design and construction market. This year, our SolaMaster 750 DS for Storm Shelters and safe rooms was named one of Building Design + Construction’s Top Products.
Project Awards
Commercial Construction & Renovation: Project Profile Awards
The Project Profile Awards feature some of the best commercial construction projects in the country in retail, restaurants, hospitality, healthcare and more. We received this honor for our contribution to an adaptive reuse project, where we played a pivotal role in transforming a dimly lit, historic bank into the thoughtfully designed and human-centric Hotel Emery. The project utilized 14 of our SkyVault M74 DS tubular daylighting devices to deliver natural daylight deep into the hotel’s lobby.
Modular Building Institute: Awards of Distinction
The Awards of Distinction represent the highest honors awarded in the modular construction industry. The Best of Show Awards is a part of the Awards of Distinction, in which attendees of the World of Modular conference and trade show vote directly for projects. This year, the San Diego Airport Project won the relocatable building category with the help of several Solatube Daylighting Systems, providing an abundance of natural daylight with minimal heat gain and loss from sunup to sundown.
Sustainability Certifications
California Green Business Network: Innovator Certification
The Innovator Certification honors businesses that have met the highest verifiable standards of sustainability. The City of Carlsbad Green Business Program awarded us this certification for implementing several meaningful measures at our Oak Ridge Way and Cousteau Court facilities, including enhancing recycling and composting programs, reducing computer and printer usage, using green-certified products, installing water-efficient fixtures and more.
