Kingspan Insulated Panels and Solatube International’s parent company, Kingspan Light + Air, hosted a networking event at the Brizo Rooftop Terrace at the Residence Inn Marina del Rey, introducing Seabin and Kingspan’s Planet Passionate campaign to Los Angeles’ green building professionals. The event aimed to create a platform for like-minded individuals to connect and learn more about innovative solutions for environmental sustainability.
Attendees were introduced to the Seabin Smart Cities Program, a revolutionary system designed to remove marine litter from the water, and how Kingspan and its subsidiaries are helping with Seabin’s mission of ridding our oceans of plastic debris.
The event was well-attended and brought together a diverse group of industry professionals who share a common goal of creating a more sustainable future. Participants included architects, design professionals, general contractors, consultants and other manufacturers. A representative from the U.S. Green Building Council, Los Angeles chapter, also joined the fun.
During the event, participants got to see Seabin in action, cleaning the harbor ecosystem adjacent to the venue.
Seabin’s solution not only helps combat ocean pollution, but the program is a great example of how technology and innovation can be used to solve environmental problems.
Seabin had the following feedback about the event:
“The team at Seabin USA was honored and grateful to be given a chance to present at a networking event hosted by Kingspan in Marina del Rey. It was an amazing platform to share what the Seabin Smart Cities Program is all about and the statistics from a year of operation in Los Angeles, Smart City # 2. The ability to engage with architects, designers and building professionals about the plastic crisis and the data that we are able to collect through our program was very rewarding. We are fortunate to have found in Kingspan, a partner that wants to leave the world better than they found it. Together, we can help to design and build a better future. Our goal is to be in 100 cities by 2050. We look forward to having Kingspan with us along the way.”
The networking event also provided an excellent opportunity for Solatube, Kingspan Insulated Panels and Kingspan Light + Air to showcase our Planet Passionate campaign. This 10-year sustainability program aims to positively impact three significant global challenges: climate change, circularity and the protection of our natural world.
Overall, the event was an excellent example of how companies can come together to drive innovation, promote sustainability and create a better future for our planet.
